Why SoG team can work through hour long hours of discussion of agreement & disagreement and end up the feeling of happiness, relax, and positivity?

The fruitfulness of their work makes me feel ashamed and guilty of myself as sometimes assigned one small tasked, it took me quite a while to complete a short research paragraph or a designed brochure. But am I comparing myself to such a brilliant team? No. In Theory U, the clarity of intention increases commitment in people and thus I am inspired to have stronger intention to better myself with more effort & commitment.

Hai Yen said it is not easy to accept our own blind spot that is recognized by others yet unless we accept our “unknown shortcomings”, we would never make improvement. SoG’s attitudes towards leadership is collective leadership in which everyone can together contribute one’s energy, effort and collective learning & collaborating to a shared vision. Especially as a social enterprise working on education, we can’t teach others if we don’t constantly learn from each other in a team. We can’t set the learning philosophy which is learning through the embodiment of 6C if we don’t constantly cultivate and practice 6C. We can’t help learners understand the values if we ourselves don’t have the conscious intention of embracing the values as a way of being.

In the book “The fifth discipline”, it is clarified 7 learning disabilities of people that includes “everyone pretends to listen to each other.” How to tackle misunderstanding and direct everyone to a common goal when there is no collective learning and authentic collaboration?

Additionally, one critical learning philosophy is learning is learning through future creation and active inquiry. SoG team keeps asking questions to the core of the problems until they can’t answer that means there comes the challenge. That they all are hard trying every single day to for a shared vision and for themselves, their own interest and a sense of meaning.

Today, one new method of problem-solving that I learnt is to act as a user to step into their shoes and understand their psychology which is called "user-centric approach". It turns out so different from the normal way of simply discussing ideas. Hai Yen and Liu Yan together re-made one interview of the sensing trip to Vietnam to really come up with the exact challenge to be solved.
